Shelby and her husband Zach call Beeville, Tx home. They have 2 children and a love for animals. In addition to Shelby’s passion for helping small businesses gain understanding of their financial reports, Shelby and her family love spending time outdoor, and playing with their large assortment of farm animals. Shelby is the owner and founder of Shelby Purcell Bookkeeping, a business created to help small businesses thrive.

Shelby started her working life as a kennel technician taking care of the animals that came to stay. Through hard work and dedication, she advanced to the title of Veterinary Technician, which she held for the following 7 years. After getting married and having her first child, Shelby decided that she wanted to find a career where she could spend more time with her family.

She was employed with an accounting firm in 2019 where she gained extensive knowledge and experience. During her employment she experienced first hand the struggles that small businesses face when it comes to growing a business and balancing the books, often causing critical mistakes with long term financial consequences.

Inspired by Shelby’s desire to help people she opened Shelby Purcell Bookkeeping to provide small businesses with professional support tailored to their individual needs.
